Newson Gale Ltd, manufacturers and designers of electrostatic earthing equipment for hazardous areas, had the pleasure of welcoming Margaret Hodge, MP and the UK Minister of State for Industry and the Regions to their offices and manufacturing facilities in Nottingham.

The visit was part of a one day visit to the East Midlands region by the Minister to meet successful and growing companies in the Nottingham and Derby area on the 27th November 2006.

Using their new training facilities, the Minister was given a demonstration of the company’s unique range of earthing and bonding systems for use in potentially explosive atmospheres – applications cover earthing of Road Tankers, Process Plant, Containers such as drums and FIBCs, and other associated plant safety equipment.

Newson Gale was in 2005 a recipient of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, International Trade, for its growth in exports.

Within the UK in 2006, the company has extended its product range to include new service based contracts and training products. Exports continue to grow as the company’s US and European sales and marketing efforts also expand.
