Newson Gale Ltd, the Nottingham based specialists in static grounding equipment for hazardous areas, are pleased to announce the launch of the Cen-Stat™ Hytrel coated cables with anti-static properties. The tough corrosion and abrasive resistant cables are designed for use with Cenelectrex ATEX approved grounding and bonding clamps and are available in green, blue and orange, both straight and spiralled.

Effective grounding and bonding ensures that any static electricity is dissipated to earth in a safe, controlled manner, thereby eliminating the possibility of fires and explosions caused by static sparking.

Cenelectrex ATEX Approved Clamps and Cen-Stat anti-static cables are designed to enable the user to achieve an effective connection to portable / mobile items of plant, in order to safely dissipate static electricity. The anti-static properties of Cen-Stat cable prevent the build up of charge on the surface of an insulating material.

The Hytrel coating conforms to ASTM D257-99 and is proven to have superior chemical and abrasion resistance: tested against 174 different chemicals and resistant to hydrolysis. It is suitable for use in all weather conditions and a wide range of ambient temperatures (minus 40ºC to plus 80ºC).

The cables offer superior mechanical strength, very low electrical resistance and come in various types and colours to suit your need: Spiral or straight, Green, Orange or Blue single core (multi-stranded galvanised steel core conductor) or 2-core Blue (multi-stranded copper conductors with double protective sheaths), all meeting the requirements of Cenelec 50404 and NFPA 77. The Spiral cable retracts when not in use (1:10 extension ratio) and has superior shape and flexibility retention proven to hold its shape after at least 20,000 continuous extensions.
